Where the River Flows
When I first saw the river flow I asked, "From where does it come, and to where does it go?"
He led me to its bank and then out into the water just enough to cover my toes.
He led me up to my waist and then out toward the middle the current lapping at my nose.
And then He asked, "Now do you see? Is it not too deep? Can you cross without me?"
Then back to the bank and out of the water wringing my clothes,
A second glance back and then it all dawned, "So that's how it goes!"
From God's own throne where the River flows carrying me home.
