Parade of Prophets 7

Updated: 3 days ago

Behold! Beware! Believe!

The clouds in the sky

are the dust on My feet.

The whirlwind caused

by My every step

dries the seas.

Each of My footfalls make

the mountains shake.

I am good.

I know who trusts Me.

And I am slow to anger.

I will have My way.

I am God.

My adversaries

will not escape My fury.

My enemies

cannot avoid My vengeance.

I shall not acquit

the wicked of their sin.

I am good.

I know who trusts Me.

And I am slow to anger.

I will have My way.

I am God.

To those who conspire against,

I will cause a flood

overflowing.

To those who plot to rise up,

I will cause a fire

devouring.

To those who devise evil plans,

I will bring to an utter

ending.

I am good.

I know who trusts Me.

And I am slow to anger.

I will have My way.

I am God.

Behold My steps

that bring good tidings!

Beware My wrath

that digs deep graves!

Believe My words

that proclaim peace!

I am good.

I know who trusts Me.

And I am slow to anger.

I will have My way.

I am God.

Nahum 1

No Longer

Where does the eagle

now perch?

Why do they no longer

feed their nestlings?

What has become of the tree tops

where no one

made them afraid?

The nest emptiers

have been emptied out.

Some flew away

in the greatest of haste.

But most were taken

by those who handle birds best.

I AM against you.

Your sins are great.

Your scream will no longer

be heard in the skies overhead.

You have not loved Me.

You have not obeyed.

You have not LIVED.

And so you shall

no longer.

Nahum 2

Bleed or Flee

Bloodied or known no more?

No time to man the fort.

Too late to watch the road.

Well past girding your flanks.

The enemy’s swords glitter in the

distance.

Their chariot wheels rumble over

rock-strewn ground.

Their horse’s hooves clop as they

gallop down the city street.

The noise of whips and warrior yells

you will not greet.

Bodies beyond number lay broken.

Countless corpses no longer cry.

Blood runs like rivers in the pouring

rain.

It shall come to pass

that all who look upon you

will exclaim aghast:

The once pretty city disfigured now.

Bloody, smoldering, thrashed.

Or would you rather travel

chained together in a train,

Stumbling in your long walk

from what you called home,

Your palaces dissolved,

and your walls behind strewn

like mere rocks on the ground.

Empty, desolate, ruin.

I AM against you.

One way or the other,

I will lift your skirts

over your heads,

And show the world

your sinful nakedness.

Unbelievable filth

will be upon you.

You will be vile to all eyes

that see,

Or they will never know

you were ever there.

Bleed or flee.

You choose.

I AM against you.

Nahum 2 and 3

Better Are Your Chances

When your strongholds

are fig trees,

Especially when they are ripe,

All they need be is shaken

And the figs fall right

into the shaker’s mouth.

Better are your chances

with Me, The

Lord of Hosts,

Than the bars of your gates

locked to your enemies

from the south.

Nahum 3:12-13
