And the Greatest of These

These are three,

And just out of reach

But within our grasp,

And to each we cling:

The first, faith...

The substance of the

desire of our heart

The evidence of a gift

not yet seen;

The next, hope...

The anchor of the soul

sunk deeper than deep

The promise of a heart

washed cleaner than clean;

And the greatest of these,

love...

The only heaven on

earth possible, so pure

God through His Son,

oh so sure.
